The key ingredients to develop well-rounded students who are prepared to go out into the world to innovate, serve, and lead. DPS needs to retain educators and staff, allocate resources fairly across the District to combat the Opportunity Gap, and focus on delivering the best instruction around.

To build trust, we need a transparent Durham Public Schools that uses plain language and shares real-time data. Community can only meaningfully partner when provided information and mechanisms for making change.

To deliver results for the Durham community, we need a DPS that is structured to hear new voices, collaborate and implement feedback, and better leverage our existing strengths as a community. We need governance and oversight to make sure we are all marching to the beat of the same drummer.
